A busy weekend for many both on off the courts which was highlighted by the formal recognition of Martin Clarke’s induction into the Australian Croquet Hall of Fame.
Sue Gliddon, CEO of Croquet Australia was in attendance to present the award with Marty with this prestigous award. You can read the full citation on the CA webpage but as we all know, Marty has been a tireless worker across all apsects of croquet and their wouldn’t be too many players in WA who haven’t had the opportunity to particpate in one of his coaching sessions. Well deserved Marty!
Croquetwest State Open Doubles
Many thanks to Forrest Park for hosting. The courts were presented in terrific order and once again, players were well looked after by the volunteers in the kitchen.
A fantastic performance by Joyce and Marty who were the clear winners of this year event. It was good to see some emerging combinations hit the court highlighted by the efforts of Wendy and Anthony (Dunsborough) in coming third.
