Australia GC Men’s and Women’s Singles

Yesterday saw the start of the Men’s and Women’s Singles events.

The amount of work that goes into hosting these events is huge and this year, the clubs have had the added challenge of dealing with copious amounts of rain in the lead up. Everyone has done such an amazing job.

I had the pleasure of playing at EDSACC on Saturday. An hours drive from Newcastle, this 4 court venue is set amongst a large sporting complex. We were made to feel most welcomed by the volunteers and club members. It was also fantastic to have so many spectators throughout the day taking a keen interest in the matches being played.
