The 9th Croquetwest GC Champion of Champions was held on the weekend, Eric Ayling of York continued his recent top form from AC to take a narrow victory and his first Champion of Champions GC title.
Eric shot extremely well, backed it up with good positioning and quickly adapted tactics.
The competition had a good field of 12 and the standard was very high, with many tough hard fought games.
Croquetwest now also acknowledges the Country and Metro winners individually (this has been backdated through the 8 previous years).
Thus Eric also wins the country section for the 2nd time and Brett McHardy wins his 3rd metro title.
