W.A.C.A. COACHING COMMITTEE.

REPORT OF ACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES AS AT NOVEMBER 1ST, 2004.

The Committee has not had any meetings due to the fact that  business has been conducted via email during this trial period, and things are running smoothly.

The Beginner Coaching courses have commenced, with CC conducting the first course at HQ.  We welcome Kay Chynoweth, Connie Shaw and Betty Crutchett, who  have just about completed their training as “Beginner Coaches”, and they have been advised that they must coach, and keep accurate records of coaching activities, to ensure that they receive re-accreditation when the time comes.

This keeping of accurate records applies to all coaches who will be expected to  produce evidence of coaching carried out when they wish to apply for re-accreditation.   Coaches will find a  ‘points sheet’ in their Coaching Kit, detailing the amount of coaching required of them.

Courses for interested parties will be organised in Albany, Geraldton and Narrogin in the new year.

We would like to advise that Merle Barber has taken on the position of State Director of Coaching, and Sandra Stevenson is now  our Coaching Committee Delegate to Council.

City Development Squad September training was carried out by CC and SS, and the last  Regional Development Squad session was held at Mandurah, conducted  by CC and MB.

The Coaching Committee has worked on a number of projects this past year, and it was decided by all that we suspend coaching activities until after the Christmas/New Year period.     This means that the scheduled “Coach the Coaches” workshop for December has been cancelled.  We thank the coaches who had registered to attend, and will advise you when the next workshop will be available to you.

An up-to-date information sheet is attached  for inclusion in your Coaches Coaching Kit.  This sheet shows the new committee for the coming season.

Ivor Frankland has advised that he no longer wishes to be recognized as an accredited coach, and we thank Ivor for past activities in coaching.
