Notices on Motion :
MOTION 1
Moved Como Croquet
Club Seconded Judith
Speers
That the entry fee for all
Association events be increased from $15 to $20 and the hosting fee paid to
clubs be increased from $5 to $10. As a
consequence all hosting clubs would be expected to provide tea, coffee and
biscuits free of charge to players in all Association events.
Rationale:
Most club-run tournaments now
include provision of morning and afternoon tea in the entry fee. This motion would mean that Association
events would be run in the same way. It
would avoid any confusion as to whether or not a payment should be made and
make it simpler for players and clubs.
With clubs receiving an increase in revenue they might be more active in
encouraging members to enter Association tournaments.
Amendment
moved Betty Crutchett seconded Elizabeth Newcombe
That this motion be implemented from 1st
November 2004.

MOTION 2
Moved - Kay
Chynoweth seconded Dot Stafford
From the beginning of the 2004 - 2005 season, the WACA introduce half yearly
pro-rata affiliation fees for players registering on or after the first (1st) of March in any season.
Rationale
(1) Equitable for players who join midseason.
(2) Encourages earlier affiliation and a more comprehensive insurance cover.
(3) Allows for a more accurate membership list.
Amendment moved Patrick Hooker seconded
Brian Hadley
That Management introduce
quarterly instead of half yearly pro-rata fees after 1st March
each year.
Amendment carried.
MOTION CARRIED
MOTION 3
Moved Mary Badger seconded

That this meeting directs The
Management Committee to consult with Clubs and to draw up and implement a plan
including recommended rules and procedures whereby, if approved by Council,
proxy voting by Members within the
Association will be in place by the 1st January 2005.
Rationale
This would eliminate
travelling long distances, overnight accommodation arrangements and also give a
voice to Clubs unable to send a Delegate to meetings.
Amendment moved Terry Speers seconded
Connie Shaw
To delete the date at the end
of the motion.
