CROQUETWEST STATE AC MIXED DOUBLES

Thanks to some fast footwork by the Match Committee, Tournament Manager and players the Croquetwest AC State Mixed Doubles Championship was completed this weekend despite temperatures over 40 degrees.

It would have been an easy decision to cancel or postpone the tournament due to the extreme heat, but the games were shortened to 2h 15 m, with four games played on day one and the final games starting at 7.00am on the second day to beat the heat.

Jeff Newcomme(Como) and Megan Reynolds(Busselton) were the victorious pair  with Alan Sands(Como) and Jennifer Brand(Cambridge) being the runners-up.
