Many in croquet will be upset to learn of the sad news of the death of Croquetwest life member Muriel Parker aged 93 in Mandurah last weekend.
Prior to her retirement Muriel held various positions in croquet ranging from Croquetwest Secretary to Referee and Coach. Players from all over WA owed a debt of gratitude to Muriel for getting them started on an enjoyable career in croquet.
Muriel retained an interest in croquet to the end of her life and often appeared as a spectator at competitive events in Mandurah and at other country clubs.
Croquetwest extends its deepest sympathy to Doug (Son) and Anet (Daughter in law). Muriel’s funeral will be held at the Seasons Chapel, Pinjarra Road, Mandurah, at 12 noon on Friday the 25th November.
