Around the Courts – August 30th

Cambridge hosted the annual State Team vs Barbarian clash and a great time was had by all. Results can be found on Croquetscores.

From the Tournament Manager/Organiser:

Well done all on a great weekend everyone, it certainly felt like an ISS match today and very much a team environment.

Im certainly feeling sore and tired!

Thank you to Cambridge for hosting the event again this year, the courts were in great condition and we appreciate the hospitality and the work involved to allow us to play.

Thanks to Alan for refereeing all day today and staying past the finish. Having a ref added to the integrity of the event.

Thanks to the country players who have travelled and participated, hopefully there was some good experience gained from the weekend and good on you all for taking up the challenge when often highly outranked.

Special thanks to Judy for being a late addition and especially for winning the Barbies a rare team point today!

We haven’t got Marty’s number flashing number 1 but if we were going to hand it out, it would go to Maggie with 11 wins from 12 games.

Special mentions to Ben, Joyce and Janine with 9 wins but thank you all again for having a crack and making the competition what it was.

Cheers, Chris.
