East Fremantle started their Inter Club Doubles on Thursday.
The pairings of Kerry/Marion and Dale/David will be contesting the final on the 7th October as part of club’s Open Day. Full results of the block play can be found on Croquetscores.
Moorabinda conducted their AC Spring Event over the weekend.
On Friday, the paring of Bernie Lynch and Dave Hedges topped the table in the 14 point Hcp doubles event. John Doepel and Judith Nicholls were second and a big shout out to Marcus MacGavock who after a quick bout of tuition during the week, buttered up for his first ever game of AC. He took to it like a duck to water and impressed everyone with his fine hooping and rolls.
In the singles event, we experienced all four seasons over the two days but it was a super weekend. All games were highly competitive and played in great spirit. The final between Gary Phipps and John Doepel went down to the wire 20/21. Full results for the event can be found on Croquetscores. Many thanks for those that helped in the running of the event and to the caterers. Surprisingly, after 3 days of croquet the scales read a little heavier this morning.

The Owen Edwards Golf Croquet Challenge, is being held at Cairnlea on the weekend of 9 and 10 October 2021, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm each day.
The high-performance players competing include the three highest ranked Golf Croquet players in Victoria: Robert Fletcher (current Australian Golf Croquet Champion), Lester Hughes and Kevin Beard.
