A Special General Meeting of the West Australian Croquet Association will be held in the clubrooms of the Forrest Park Croquet Club, 66 Harold Street, Mount Lawley, WA 6050 at 11.00am on Saturday 30th June 2018.

The ACA Bronze Medal singles was held at the Cambridge Croquet Club on 12 – 13 May. The event was won by Brett McHardy (Forrest Park), who was unbeaten in the best-of-3 round-robin. The runner-up was Torben Bak (Forrest Park). Brett will now represent WA in the upcoming ACA Gold Medal event in NSW prior to the Interstate Cup in September 2018. The Croquetwest AC State Handicap Singles was held at Halls Head on 26th and 27th May. The event was won by Jock Fyfe (Halls Head) from Geoff Longshaw (Como). Full results are on croquetscores.com.
GC One-Day Events were held at Nedlands and Forrest Park on the 21st and 22nd May.
The A-Grade Event was won by Peter Brown (Gosnells), in a count-backfrom Peter Hamilton (Como). The Peters were equal in games and net hoops, but Peter Brown had won their round-robin game 7-6.
The B-Grade Event was won by John Rea (Forrest Park) from Kerry Loane (East Fremantle).
The C-Grade Event was won by Kathy Hamilton (Como) from Howard O’Neill (Narrogin).

A Country versus City AC challenge was played at Forrest Park on Monday 21st May.

Eric Ayling of York was the player of the tournament.
The GC Country weekend was held at Nedlands Sat 19th and Sunday 20th May. Teams came from Geraldton, Narrogin, and York/Rockingham/Moorabinda.
Overall Champion Player: Paul Dodson – Geraldton. Runner-up: Rhonda Reynolds – Geraldton.
A-Grade Champion: Paul Dodson – Geraldton. Runner-up: Paul Christmass – Geraldton.
B-Grade Champion: Arthur Ryan.
C-Grade Champion: Rhonda Reynolds – Geraldton. Runner-up: Carmel Hodges – Craby Croquet.
Champion Club: Geraldton.
Inaugural Yowie Trophies were presented to the players of the most quickly finished game. The trophies was won by Lynley and Phil de Gruchy (pictured). Lynley took only 15 minutes to dispose of Phil, 7-1.
Congratulations to Brett McHardy (Forrest Park) for being selected in the Australian contingent for the 50+ World Championship to be held in Egypt in October. Peter Landrebe and David Hanbridge from NSW have also been selected.
Congratulations to the Australian AC Trans-Tasmin team for their clean sweep of tournament against New Zealand. The tournament was held recently in Queensland. For all the results, see croquetscores.com.
