The World Croquet Federation Over 50s Golf Croquet World Championships will be held in Egypt in October 2018. There will only be 48 places to be filled. ACA needs to nominate Australian Players by late March.

Congratulations to Jeff Newcombe, who has made it through to the final 32 in the AC World Championships following the block round. Jeff has drawn fellow Australian, Greg Flethcher in the first round of the knockout phase. Jannine Hawker is the Plate Block F. The tournament is being held in New Zealand through to the 11th Feb. The One Day Open Singles was won by Torben Bak (Forrest Park) defeating Ben Brown (Gosnells) in the final after both had won all their block games.
As the event had attracted a large entry, the Ladies (unless they chose to play the Open) had a separate event. This was won by Kerry Loane (East Fremantle) from Wendy Pritchard (Cambridge) with Jill Nottle (Narrogin) in third.

There is a combined AC and GC tournament in Northern Tasmania at Easter. It commences on the 31st March and finishes on the 3rd April.

Fleur Brockway won the State GC Ladies’ Singles and Martin Clarke the GC Men’s Singles at Moorabinda last weekend. Dale Jury and Torben Bak were the respective runners-up.
Marty has been attending tournaments at Moorabinda for 24 years now, Fleur is 24!
There is a Gold Coast Tweed GC tournament to be held from 7th July to 20th July 2018. There are events to suit all levels of play. Gold Coast Tweed region is very attractive to all visitors in July so we look forward to seeing returning players plus welcoming new comers to this tournament.
