Croquet Hub
Croquet requires strategy, skill, technique, precision and a sense of humour.
Came across a new Facebook page to add to my sites of interest.
About
Croquet Hub is a place for all things #Croquet, supported by Croquet England.
We hope for this hub to be a welcoming place for anyone interested in our sport. This is a public group where people new to Croquet can ask questions about our sport and find out where to play.
Those who are already in our Croquet community, feel free to share club news, promote your tournaments and post any pre-loved equipment for sale or trade.
One early post that caught my eye: Score-Ring – keep score whilst keeping track of your striking ball!

WhatsApp – ‘WCF Global GC Referee Queries’
The WCF are pleased to announce the launch of a WhatsApp group called ‘WCF Global GC Referee Queries’.
The purpose of this WhatsApp Group is to provide a platform for addressing queries relating to unusual refereeing incidents or unclear interpretations of the GC Rules in order to establish a unified global approach.
Queries will be raised by national moderators, who have been nominated by their local governing body. Answers will be provided by the Chair of the WCF GC Rules Committee – currently Stephen Mulliner.
Referees with queries should address them in the first instance to their local moderator, contact details for this person can be obtained from your national governing body.
At the moment this group is for GC Refereeing queries only. We are keen to see whether the use of WhatsApp for this purpose is successful before setting up an AC group as well.

Visiting Groups
There’s been endless amounts of fun on the lawns of late with many group deciding to use our clubs for their functions. Lot’s of work by our volunteers but it is always so enjoyable to see people having fun experiencing our great game.
Mandurah Croquet Club
“Our Club recently had the pleasure of hosting the “Sparkling Rubies”. After a fun morning of “competitive” hoop scoring, the lovely group of ladies socialised over morning tea. We look forward to seeing them all again on their next visit.”
Forrest Park Croquet Club
“Hosting a croquet party is always fun but it’s even more worthwhile when you know it’s a fundraiser for a good cause. These five, vibrant and very fit, committed individuals are participating in the ‘Ride for Youth’, supporting the mental health of WA’s youth. Go Google it and donate!
All attending enjoyed playing a friendly competition, then a fun ‘closest to the peg’ challenge, with club volunteers Julian, Diana and Lesley guiding the way.
We thank Bevan for choosing Forrest Park Croquet Club to host this event.”
Nedlands
“Future potential stars on and off the croquet lawns.
Students and researchers from the Universities of Western Australia and Curtin, involved in, “The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research” swapped telescopes for mallets and mastered a new set of skill”
