A busy week, especially with Australia Day festivities happening all around us.
Nedlands Australia Day Singles
This event has been a major fixture on our calendar since 2005 and has always attracted a very strong field. This year was no different and for the 2nd time, Alan Sands was successful.

Out and about at our clubs on Australia Day
Sorrento: 12 members played in the Aussies versus the rest of the World competition. Sadly the Aussies went down. A lot of fun. Ending up with an Aussie lunch with a spirited conversation about a wide variety of subjects.
Cambridge: Their 2023 Australian of the Year was revealed at their annual Australia Day Event. This year they held a Guns and Roses competition followed by a BBQ!
Check out their Facebook page for more great photos.
Moorabinda: Australia Day Celebrations were in full swing at Moorabinda. Including songs from the MCC choir, and great food from Suzie and Dawn and their many helpers.
Croquetwest State C Grade Singles
Belmont was our host this weekend for the running of the State GC C Grade Singles. 18 players competed across two blocks for the coveted title which was won last year by Barrie Stewart.
After the preliminary round, the final was held between Lesley Storey (Forrest Park) and Colin Stewart (Belmont) Colin won the final 7-4, 7-4
Many thanks again to John for organising and managing the tournament.
