Another busy weekend on the courts in WA along with some major events in other states.
Ida Thorpe Trophy
Apart from crisp mornings, the weather in York was simply awesome for both days of this time honoured event. First run in 1962, Ian Dumergue etched his name onto the trophy for the 4th time. His last games in the block round and in the final against Eric Ayling were faultless, winning both with a score of 26TP-0.
The courts were in excellent condition and York once again proved what great hosts they are with everyone made to feel at home. Beverley Hoey also did an amazing job in her first ever role as Tournament Manager.
