Over the coming weeks I will be posting some scenarios that were first published in the Croquet Victoria monthly magazine “Malletsports” in about 2014.
These come courtesy of John van der Touw. As he explains; “I sent scenarios to some top players and asked them what shot they would play in the situation. I also asked some ordinary players what they would play because I thought that the best tactical option would depend on the skill level of the striker (and their opponent).”
I first met John at the GC Open Doubles and Singles event last year. Along with his partner, Richard Parks, they successfully defended their doubles title.
