The AC State Open Doubles was held at Nedlands this weekend. By all accounts, the temperature was quite warm so congratulations to all who played and officiated. The extreme weather policy was in place throughout the event and some delays were initiated.
It was also a very tightly contested competition, with three parings all finishing with the same number of wins.

Geoff will correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this is his first State Open title. It is also Tim’s first State Open Doubles title. Well done to you both.
It has been a quiet few weeks for our clubs but no doubt with the kids going back to school on Monday week, things will start to get busy again.
I did find these amazing pictures taken at York on the 11th January though. What a lovely evening to be be playing croquet!
