I thought I had exhausted all online avenues for locating images of our State AC and GC teams but yesterday, another one turned up!
A must for anyone interested in croquet is a visit to the York Croquet Club website. You can keep up to date with tournament results, discover some of the history of the club and even learn about some of the legends in Les Gibney, Pat McGregor and Eric Ayling. Plus, you can even find an old photo of the 2008 State GC Team!

Birgit Schreuder and the rest of the WA Golf Croquet State Team are back from the Sunshine Coast! And what an experience it has been! Victoria’s team took the Shield; NSW, Qld and WA all with three wins vied for second, third and fourth place. On points Queensland came second, NSW was third and WA fourth, SA fifth and Tasmania sixth. It was a tough competition; the organisation of the tournament was excellent. From the 24 single games Birgit had to play she won 12 which was not a bad effort. (as published on York’s website)
